Wonderful Sencha but, honestly, if you're going to pay for this one, you might as well go with one of the Masters versions to get something even nicer for close to the same price. Also, it should only be steeped for 1 minute max with 170 to 175 degree spring water. Tap water will kill the subtleties of the taste. And it's meant to be shared and steeped many times. 3-4 times at least. Making an afternoon of it is always a good thing.

If I was leaving this review when I first started drinking this tea it would be one star. Now that I mix it into a lot of blends, though, I'm more used to it and to red rooibos so I could enjoy the cup. It's definitely not going to be reached for by most people, I think. I don't even think it's stupendous on its own either.

I enjoy this peach tea but it could use a little more peach for my liking.

I love this one iced with a dab of Tupelo honey. Sometimes I added some Watermelon Cooler to help up the melon taste.

I love blending this with fruit teas. It goes so well with gunpowder green as well. The caramel stands out more to me than the chocolate but they are both there, especially when sweetener is added.

My first brush with Milk Oolongs was when a new tea company was giving away samples to get their name out and I tried their Golden Lily in a Gaiwan method. It was pretty good, but since my first sample of the Adagio version, I've decided I like the mouthfeel of milk oolongs, though I know others find the butteriness to be off-putting.

I usually don't warm up much to malty teas but this one has always been an exception to that rule.

I'm not a huge fan of breakfast teas, but this one was okay enough that I could drink it. Normally, breakfast teas turn me off because of the need to be hot to get any real flavor. This one stood up to sitting on my desk for a while. I should probably open up the sample bag I bought of it a while ago.

I didn't have any tea in my packet today for CommuniTEA, so I'm reviewing what I had with my Arabica sampler! It smells like lemon head candy, and I enjoy that. The taste was rather flat and more like water when mine was hot though I steeped for the full 10 minutes. As it cooled, there was more taste of lemon and no turmeric. There was a little heat from the peppercorns, but otherwise, it was a fairly safe tea that didn't keep me up all night.

I enjoy this chai a lot. I own a big bag of it and recommend steeping in milk. I make a batch on Sunday night and chill it to have all week as 'golden milk.' It helps with my RA and Lupus side effects, especially in winter.

Rich and nutty with a sweet potato undertone. Best if you add honey or sweetener. I prefer honey and a little bit of cream. Great for making blends, too!

I love the way the softly sweet Honeybush combines with the mango flavoring. I prefer it iced, but really, I could have it hot too and enjoy it. I've gone through so many bags of this tea. Nice to see it on CommuniTEA!

I love this chai. It doesn't even need any sweetener. I like to steep mine in almond or coconut milk for full chainess!

I actually didn't try it because senna and I don't jive, but my best friend loves this tea.

I don't know what I was thinking. I do not enjoy smoked food, so why would I enjoy a smoked drink? This tea tasted like I was drinking a woodsy liquid smoke. 2020 Update: 8 years later, and I actually enjoy this tea, and I have some tips! Rinse the leaves before you steep (put your leaves in your steeper and add about 4 oz of 180 - 200 degree water let sit for 2 minutes and then strain that into the sink before putting your leaves into 200-degree water for 2-5 as your steep for drinking). Steep at a slightly under boiling temp and only for 2-3 minutes; after 2 minutes, test the liquid with a spoon and if it's strong or too strong, end your steep. Add a little bit of sweetener (1/2 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp honey, 1/2 packet zero-calorie stuff) because adding too much sweetener will make this tea taste awful. Finally, add some heavier milk, preferably half and half, to the tea; about 1-2 teaspoons will work. Now, after all, that, if you still don't like it, maybe the tea isn't for you. Or maybe you're like me, and blends are the way to go to like this tea over the years!

Honeybush is such a great tea. I tend to steep it longer and multiple times to really get the honey and woodsy notes to come out of it. It's my favorite group of teas to use in blends.
Nov 10th '20
I steeped mine with the lid open for 3 minutes at 200 degrees and it came out great. It might be a faux pas but I definitely iced the second and third steeps. Makes for a really great tea.
Nov 8th '20
I had mine hot with Sourwood honey and almond milk/coconut cream half and half. I was really impressed with the taste. Might have to order a full bag of this.
Nov 5th '20
One of my favorite teas. I love the light smokiness and how smooth it is. I also use it in so many of my blends because it plays so well with others.

Has more of a light citrus scent when brewed and has a darker caramel taste, -- especially, when you add some rock sugar. I used some almond milk and coconut cream half and half to keep it vegan and it was lovely on ice.

This tea is cool to look, and fun to play with, but I have to be in a mood for lemongrass if I want some because that's all I taste. For my Communitea day, I mixed my sachet with a heaping teaspoon of raspberry patch and let it go at boiling for 10 minutes. The results were amazing in terms of color. It's a deep purple color and wonderful on the eyes. However, the lemongrass is still very strong, but some of the berry is peeking through with the addition of some fruit tisane honey!

A good tea. I enjoy it with some half and half and honey.
Oct 22nd '20
I only like this tisane in blends. I had it with honey and iced today but it's just not something I would normally reach for. It is great for blending, though.

I love this tea, but if you don't like creme brulee flavoring, you're not going to like this because that's mostly what it is with a little hint of cinnamon and gunpowder. I can smell the apples but I can't taste them, but that's fine by me. I'm here for the creme brulee.

I love this one hot in the winter and it's usually the tea I use to lure Lipton stalwarts to better tea. I also am drinking it iced now, which is the typical way I drink it. Sometimes, I also add some Malibu Passionfruit or Mango rum to it for some soft fruitiness and to wind down from a long day.

This was a great tea that I've had a lot of practice with. I heated up my water and though it said 150, I still added an ice cube to the water in the steeper before pouring the mate on top. The traditional way to drink is in a small gord with a special metal straw that filters out any mate that might float below the water. My brother brought me back one from Argentina but it's somewhere among the boxes from a recent move. Instead I steeped it for 5 minutes and then sipped it before added Rooibos Honey and a touch of milk (enough to cover the bottom of my tea cup). I could easily taste each spice and the orange aftertaste which really went well with the milk. I suggest steeping for a longer time at a lower temperature if you can't taste the tea. Mate is fickle that way.

This was a good tea. I sipped it hot first and then added some green tea honey and then iced it after sipping again. Hot? It tasted like medicine to me. Hot with honey? All I could taste was presumably the honey, because it was sweet. Iced? This was best, I could taste the ginseng and ginger with some sweetness from the honey. Not something I would drink everyday but nice.

This is great tea for people who like strong lemon and ginger flavor. I added herbal tea honey and a tablespoon of half and half, and it added more dimension to the popping flavors. I wish there was a tad more peppermint, but that doesn't take away from this being a great tea.
Oct 5th '20
I'm giving it a solid good because the large bag of cinnamon tea I had finally ran out and it was from a few years ago and it was strong cinnamon tasting. This pouch was not. It was actually overpowered by the two tablespoons of milk I added and that was with Orange Blossom honey. I don't know what happened but I would like cinnamon in my cinnamon tea, please!
Oct 2nd '20
Honestly, I thought with the upgrade they were doing there would be more pumpkin to it than the spice. Regardless, it's a good tea, especially with Orange Blossom honey and almond milk. The clove is definitely overpowering most of the other flavors, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing to me, though I probably will always say this, but Adagio's sweet potato pie tea was much, much tastier than the pumpkin spice.

I love the scent and taste of this tea. I love blending it with others, too. It not a strong green taste and the vanilla is mostly aromatic unless you add sweetener, in my case some Tupelo honey.
Sep 8th '20
Good enough on its own, toasty and earthy, but even better with some peppermint and anise.
Aug 29th '20
It's a great lemongrass tea and I can smell the lavender, but I would like to taste it, too.
Aug 21st '20
I've previously tried it on its own and found the peach lacking so I added a portion packet of white peach and it was lovely though the chamomile was masked by the white tea.
Aug 16th '20
Very enjoyable light cup of tea. I prefer the jasmine silver needle only because i like the little more punch of flavor but silver needle is so great on it's own, too.
Aug 11th '20
I steeped my sample for ten minutes and I agree with the reviewer who says that it tastes like strawberry not mango.
Aug 11th '20
Tastes like straight up Luden's cough drops. Not sure if that's good or bad?
Aug 8th '20
Great citrusy oolong that I love to blend with. Happy to have a big bag of it!
Aug 5th '20
Not bad, not good, just okay. The orange smooths out any astringency from the black tea but other than that it just tastes like a cup of black tea.
Aug 4th '20
Very tasty with a zing to it that comes from the mandarin flavoring!
Jul 30th '20
The orange and hibiscus overpower most of the key lime after steeping for 10 minutes, but it's nice with a little fruit tisane honey over ice.
