Pouchong is a lightly-oxidized Taiwanese oolong, celebrated for its beguiling aroma. As relayed by a tea master, "if there's no fragrance, it's not worth the effort!" As such, our Masters-grade Pouchong has a deep and inviting floral nose. The liquor is a pale golden-green color with melting-butter texture, uplifting floral notes and mild, succulent flavor. The sweet floral nose lingers long after the last sip. Luckily, our Formosa Pouchong offers worthwhile second steeping, as its leaves continue to unfurl and release their treasures. Harvest: Spring 2020.
Oolong Tea | Moderate caffeine | Steep at 195° for 3 mins
At least two exquisite steepings are ahead for you with this minimally-oxidized oolong grown and processed in true Taiwanese style and expertise for its celebrated fragrance and a butter-yellow liquor. The elegantly long leaves are a lush, dark green and provide a luscious, velvety smooth mouth feel that lingers. This is an ideal afternoon tea selection as its floral essence complements any item on your menu from plump scones and jam to a variety of finger sandwiches, and sugar cookies. It is a tea perennial worthy of the Formosa oolong category.

Is the floral flavor just a feature of the tea leaves, or are there some flowers involved in the process, like with jasmine tea?
