Sencha is a steamed green tea from the Shizuoka prefecture of Japan, harvested in the early summer (the second flush). It produces a rich, brothy texture, with a clean, very refreshing green aroma. The cup develops a sweet flavor reminiscent of tender steamed veggies and fresh seaweed, with a rounded finish that coats the palate at the end. Our Sencha Overture has a classic sencha flavor, perfect for fans of all things 'green.'
Green Tea | Moderate caffeine | Steep at 165° for 2-3 mins
Our teabags contain the same high-quality tea as our loose-tea offerings. Their pyramid shape gives the leaves plenty of room to unfurl and infuse, placing more flavor in each cup. Enjoy the superior flavor of gourmet tea with the convenience of a disposable bag.

Lore
An overture is an instrumental opening for shows like ballets, operas, and musicals. Starting in the 17th century, they carried all the way through to the popular movie musicals of the 1950s and beyond. While some overtures are composed as stand-alone pieces, they can also be used to introduce themes, melodies, or dramatic elements of the piece that will follow. Such is the case with our Sencha Overture. Take a sip, and you'll have a delicious preview of all the good things to come.
Raw Honey for Green Teas

Is single-serve considered 8 oz? I use the Breville and the min is 16oz.
